GDP Shares in the Ancient World

A survey by a certain person… forgot the name, but it was on today’s Prothom Alo, suggests that during the late 1700s both India and China produced a quarter of the world’s GDP. During that time the Indian GDP’ share of the world was 24.4%, whereas the whole of Europe produced only 23.3%!
