Setting Up Miranda Portable IM at Work

1. Download Miranda from www.miranda-im.org.
2. Allow MSN, Yahoo and Jabber.
3. You need to allow things to go via your proxy, if one is active. Click Network. Click ‘Use Proxy Server’. Choose Server Type as Mixed. Host is the host from your IE’s Tools ->Internet Options -> Connections->Lan Settings tab. Port from that source too. Click Resolve Hostnames through Proxy. This should enable MSN.
4. Go to Main Menu->Options, click MSN, give e-mail and pass.
5. Yahoo is easy, just enable email ID and pass.
6. For Google Talk/Jabber, Login Server should be ‘gmail.com’. Port should be 5223, and check Use SSL. Do not manually specify connection host (Uncheck). Should enable GTalk.
